Coming Fall 2026

Prepare to Lead Anti-Oppressive Change with Clarity & Strategy

Anti-oppressive leadership requires more than good intentions, shared language, or one-off trainings. It asks leaders and practitioners to navigate power, risk, and resistance—while staying accountable to the people and communities most impacted by inequity.

The Anti-Oppressive Leadership Certification is an upcoming, practice-centered certification designed for DEI and equity practitioners who want deeper skill-building, clearer decision-making frameworks, and sustained support for doing this work well—especially inside complex institutions.

This program is currently in development and expected to launch late 2026.

Why This Certification Exists

Many equity leaders are navigating a familiar tension:

  • You’re expected to lead change, but rarely given the authority or conditions to do so

  • You’re trained in values and language, but not always in power dynamics, risk assessment, or real-world strategy

  • You’re held accountable for outcomes that depend on systems larger than you

This certification is being built to address those gaps by supporting leaders to move beyond symbolic action toward strategic, context-aware anti-oppressive practice.

What Makes This Certification Different

While full details will be shared closer to launch, this certification is grounded in a few core commitments:

Application Over Abstraction

The focus is on every stakeholder navigates decision-making, tradeoffs, and accountability—not just theory or terminology.

Number 3 .png

Risk-Aware, Human-Centered Practice

Anti-oppressive leadership is shaped by an understanding of value- and risk-driven behavior, psychological safety, and incentive.

Number 4 .png

Built For People Doing the Work

Designed for DEI practitioners and community leaders responsible for outcomes in workplaces, communities, and institutions.

The curriculum will be grounded in the Social Power Continuum—a framework that helps practitioners identify patterns of harm, stagnation, and possibility, and make more intentional choices about how power is used in their roles and organizations.
